Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work.” John 4:34-35.
The goal of the St. Patrick’s Video Ministry is to share the Word of God with our friends, neighbors, and fellow parishioners around the world. We seek to grow our team of video ministers who live stream our weekly Sunday Mass. This mass is viewable ‘live’ or at any time on our church’s website, http://mystpatricks.com, as well as our YouTube channel. It is also shown on local Northbridge Cable Television channel 191 on Wednesday and Saturday mornings for those who do not have internet access readily available to them. This allows members of our parish, friends and relatives a chance to view services which they may not have been able to attend, or to view again.
To become a member of the Audio/Video Ministry, very little extra time is involved. We would ask you to attend a short in-service meeting to become familiarized with the cameras and other equipment used to live stream our mass. After that, it is up to you how often you could assist while at Mass. We currently stream three masses per week. We stream Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm, and Sunday morning and evening at 10:00am and 5:00pm.
The special skills require to be part of the Video Ministry are a desire to share the Word of God with your friends, relatives and neighbors, and the ability to participate in the liturgy while viewing it through a viewfinder of a digital camera.
To become part of this new and exciting Ministry, sharing the Word of God through live broadcasts of our Masses and services here at St. Patrick’s, please contact Shawn McPherson the director of our Audio/Visual Ministries shawn@mystpatricks.com.
